Here at Riz Kids, we are so excited for America’s Pastime to be back in the District, and while it has been a gloomy couple of days, we know the future is bright for our hometown Nationals.

I can’t say enough about the amazing feedback from our community since launching the foundation about three weeks ago. Whether it has been players asking how they can get involved or friends, family and fans giving us a follow on social media, we are so appreciative of the support thus far.

In less than a month, we’ve had conversations with some of the most impactful nonprofit organizations supporting kids and families in D.C. Listening to their needs and their unique missions has been incredibly inspiring. We have hit the ground running and wasted no time in getting the ball rolling. We are only two short weeks away from the Riz Kids Partners for Change grant application deadline, so please pass along this link if you know of a worthy organization and encourage them to apply.

And a HUGE thanks to those who have already donated. Your support will not only help a local organization, but it will also provide scholarships to two deserving D.C. high school seniors and enable Riz Kids to host an event later this year which will bring students to the ballpark for an unforgettable day of learning the ins and outs of the game we all love. Let’s play ball!
